Ultraviolet UV Systems
The UV equipment provides ultraviolet light at the specific wavelength of 254nm (nanometers). At this wavelength the UV light is most effective at inactivation. As a waterborne microorganism passes through the unit, the UV light penetrates the microorganism's membrane and alters its genetic material (DNA). With altered DNA, the microorganism is destroyed.
